Andrea Orlandi says he will carefully consider offers from English clubs following his release by Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Spanish midfielder has surprisingly been shown the door at the Amex Stadium after two seasons that have delivered back-to-back play-off appearances.

He has now spent the last seven years in Britain, with Swansea City having snapped him up in 2007.

Orlandi says would be happy to return after the summer break if a tempting approach is made, with the 29-year-old having thoroughly enjoyed a spell which has seen him grace the top three tiers.

He said in the Argus: "I am on holiday at the moment so I do not have any reason to come back just yet.

"I will start looking at things in a week or so and decide what my options are.

"If I have options to come back to England, I would be really pleased."

Orlandi has also been discussing the future of a former team-mate at Brighton.

Speculation continues to suggest that Leonardo Ulloa could soon be on the move, with Leicester City said to be leading the chase, but Orlandi hopes the Argentine striker will not be following him through the exits.

He added: "Leo has been massive for us.

"He became our main man in scoring a lot of goals and we relied on him a lot.

"Especially when in some games, trying to play long balls to him and his skills and strength have been really, really important.

"I think Brighton should keep him, but I am not sure they are going to."
