Crewe have completed a deal to sign Jamie Ness on loan from Premier League side Stoke.

The Scottish midfielder has penned a deal to keep him at Gresty Road until January 5.

Ness came through the academy at Rangers before moving to the Potters on a four-year deal.

He has since played just once for Stoke and made 14 loan appearances for Leyton Orient last term, scoring once.

He will go straight into Crewe's squad for the Sky Bet League One fixture with Barnsley at the weekend, along with Greg Leigh, who also joined on loan this week from Manchester City.
