Martyn Woolford puts Millwall's flying start to the season down to their "perfectionist" manager Ian Holloway.

The Lions, tipped by many to struggle again this term, have won both their opening Sky Bet Championship matches and are yet to concede a goal.

Holloway's side head to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday evening looking to make it 12 games unbeaten, a streak which stretches back to last season's dramatic escape from relegation.

"It's a great run," said winger Woolford after scoring the only goal in Saturday's 1-0 win at Fulham.

"Even before the wins started coming the performances were getting to where we wanted them to be.

"We are getting our rewards from that and the wins keep building the confidence.

"It's nearly all down to the manager. There have not been a lot of new faces, especially last season when we couldn't win a game when he took over.

"But the way that he got us organised in such a short period of time is a credit to how he works - the emphasis that he puts on the lads and the confidence that he gives us.

"The manager is a bit of a perfectionist so we are looking at every little thing we can improve, which is only a good thing.

"We'll go away and look at the things we didn't quite do quite right at Fulham and just keep improving.

"That's all we can do - and look towards the next game.

"We are confident, regardless of the opposition, if we play our game and do the things the manager's asking then we can pick up points wherever."
