Carlisle have signed midfielder Alex Marrow on a one-year deal following his release by Blackburn.

The 24-year-old has been training with the Cumbrians in the early stages of pre-season and joins the club on the day Rovers confirmed his departure from Ewood Park.

Marrow came through the youth ranks at Rovers and rejoined the Sky Bet Championship outfit last summer. He moved on for a second time having made only four appearances in 2013/14.
