Boro bag Haber to boost attack

Stevenage have completed the signing of striker Marcus Haber on a two-year deal subject to international clearance.

The 23-year-old Canadian, who last played for St Johnstone, began his career with hometown club Vancouver Whitecaps in 2009 where his impressive form paved the way for a move to West Brom in January 2010. Haber's first-team opportunities were limited at The Hawthorns and he was loaned first to Exeter, then back to the Whitecaps before opting for a move north the Scottish Premier League. His switch to St Johnstone was initially a loan move curtailed by a serious knee injury, but Saints snapped up Haber following his release by the Baggies and he helped them to a UEFA Europa League spot last season. Haber represented Canada in the 2008 Olympic Games and has three senior caps for his country.
