Scunthorpe have added Burnley right-back Luke O'Neill to their squad on a three-month loan.

O'Neill struggled to make an impression at the Clarets but the 22-year-old previously enjoyed a successful season with Mansfield in 2011/12 and has picked up further experience on loan at York, Kettering, Tranmere and Southend - making 90 first-team appearances overall.

He heads straight into the squad for Tuesday night's League One clash with Fleetwood at Glanford Park and becomes the second signing of the day following the arrival of Billy Kee.
