Ipswich winger Cameron Stewart has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a fractured jaw.

The injury was sustained in the Tractor Boys' pre-season draw with Leyton Orient on Saturday and the summer signing from Hull is expected to have surgery on Tuesday.

Town physio Matt Byard told the club's website: "Cameron was caught by an arm late on in the game on Saturday and the scan has shown that he has fractured his jaw.

"We will see where we stand (once he recovers from surgery) but for that type of injury, you are looking at between four to six weeks on the sidelines."

Stewart is another casualty for Mick McCarthy's men ahead of the Sky Bet Championship season opener with Fulham on Saturday - with Paul Anderson, Tommy Smith and Jonathan Parr all doubts for the Portman Road clash.
