Porto proved too strong for West Brom with a 3-1 win at The Hawthorns.

Record signing Ideye Brown watched from the stands for West Brom after only arriving in the country on Friday, and he saw his new side do well for large periods of the game.

Casemiro put Porto ahead on 22-minutes as he found himself unmarked at a corner and easily dispatched Cristian Tello's delivery.

But West Brom battled back and were level just before the break as Jonas Olsson climbed at the back post to head home Chris Brunt inswinging corner.

Into the second-half and Porto's Colombian star Jackson Martinez took control as he proved the difference with two goals in three minutes.

They went ahead on 51-minutes as Martinez headed home from Ricardo Quaresma's deflected cross.

Just moments later and Martinez sealed the win with a well taken effort from 12-yards after good work from Alex Sandro.

West Brom open their Premier League campaign against Sunderland next week.
