Troy Deeney: Being linked with a Premier League move
Watford head coach Beppe Sannino has refused to be drawn on the future of in-demand striker Troy Deeney.
Deeney, a man who has broken through the 20-goal barrier in each of the last two seasons and is already up and running in the current campaign, has been generating plenty of summer speculation.
Premier League new boys Leicester City and Burnley are both believed to have seen offers for the prolific 26-year-old knocked back.
"I am head coach. Troy Deeney for me is a big player for Watford but this question is not for me."
Hull City have also been credited with holding an interest, although Steve Bruce has been quick to quash those rumours.
There is, however, still every chance that Deeney will be on his way out of Vicarage Road before the transfer window slams shut.
Sannino is reluctant to discuss the issue for now, though, with the Italian quick to point out that any decision regarding possible sales rests with his board.
He said: "I am head coach. Troy Deeney for me is a big player for Watford but this question is not for me.
"I am not manager, I am head coach and I am very happy to have Troy playing with me.
"But I also have Diego Fabbrini, Odion Ighalo and Matej Vydra and I am happy with them."
