Costa Rica international midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero says he is set to join Blackpool.

The 27-year-old, who came off the bench to appear in four World Cup games this summer, has posted a series of pictures of him at Bloomfield Road and with manager Jose Riga on his official Twitter account.

One tweet posted on Wednesday night read: "I had a meeting with the coach and the chairman of @BlackpoolFC. Tomorrow I will have the medical test Go Tangerines."

Cubero's club C.S. Herediano posted a message on their official website which announced they had agreed terms with the Seasiders.

The Costa Rican outfit said: "The Club Sport Herediano player Jose Miguel Cubero and Herediana Force reached an agreement with the team of Blackpool."

The capture of Cubero, whose country impressed so many onlookers in Brazil, would give the Seasiders 13 players with five signed since Monday after they finally bolstered their squad ahead of their first Championship game on August 9.
