South Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday shared four goals during their pre-season friendly at the Keepmoat Stadium which finished in a 2-2 draw.
Atdhe Nuhui and Michail Antonio put the Owls in control but Dean Furman and Kyle Bennett salvaged some local pride for Rovers.
Trialist Nathan Tyson went close for the hosts before Nuhui headed home just before half-time. Antonio extended Wednesday's lead early in the second half after Jacques Maghoma had robbed Scott Brown of the ball.
But Doncaster reduced their arrears after 51 minutes when Furman prodded a shot past former Rovers goalkeeper Chris Kirkland. Bennett then brought the Sky Bet League One side level with a superb free-kick.
Both teams had chances to win it. Chris Maguire poked a shot at Ben Williams in the Doncaster goal following a scramble, while at the other end Bennett saw a shot narrowly clear the crossbar.
