Fulham have signed defender Kay Voser for an undisclosed fee from FC Basel on a two-year contract.

The Cottagers have the option of extending the 27-year-old's stay into a third year.

Voser joined Basel from Grasshoppers Zurich in 2011 and won three Swiss Super League titles and one Swiss Cup.

He started his senior career at Grasshoppers, making more than 120 appearances between 2005 and 2011.

Last season, Voser played eight times in the UEFA Champions League, including the two group match victories over Chelsea.
