Bosnia coach Safet Susic insists he had no agreement with Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to come off early in their recent defeat to Egypt.

Dzeko played the full 90 minutes for his country in midweek, but he was not happy at all with Susic and insisted he should not have played the entire game.

But the Bosnian coach insists that he did nothing wrong.

"If he had wanted, he could have been on the bench," Susic told Nezavisne.

"The only agreement that existed was that after 60 minutes one of the attackers would left the pitch, but we said that would be [Vedad] Ibisevic before Dzeko as he is suspended in Germany and hasn't played many games for Stuttgart recently.

"When Dzeko stayed on the pitch, he didn't complain. But even if agreement existed, I'm the manager and I have a right to change whoever I want."

Susic revealed that Dzeko's father confronted him after the game.

"It is not right that parents intercept me in the corridors and provide me with comments regarding the team," he said.

"But there was no incident or insults. Everything was done after the press conference. I greeted Dzeko's father when he asked me why I didn't replace his son when he told me that he is hurt.

"I just answered him that it would be good if he would leave alone Edin for just a little. Our dialogue lasted only 10 seconds."
