Hartlepool have signed teenage goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on a month's loan from Premier League outfit Newcastle.
The 17-year-old goes straight into the squad for their Sky Bet League Two trip to Northampton on Tuesday. Woodman has represented England at under-16, under-17 and under-18 level, was part of the national team that won the European Under-17 Championship finals in the summer. He is the son of Newcastle goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman and joins Pools as back-up to Scott Flinders.
