Doncaster have completed the signing of Aston Villa goalkeeper Jed Steer on a three-month loan.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper, who arrived at Villa Park from Norwich last summer, made three appearances in cup competitions for Paul Lambert's men last season.

Boss Paul Dickov had been searching for a new goalkeeper after the departures of Ross Turnbull and Jon Maxted and Steer looks set to make his Rovers debut against Rotherham on Saturday.
