Burnley goalkeeper Alex Cisak has signed a new two-year deal at Turf Moor.

The 25-year-old former Oldham Athletic player made two appearances for the Clarets in their successful 2013/14 promotion campaign.

Cisak made his first start for the club in the 2-0 win over local rivals Preston North End in the second round of the Capital One Cup last term.

Having started his career at Leicester City as part of the Premier League Academy winning side in 2006/2007, Cisak made 59 appearances for Oldham during a two-year stay and he also had loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Portsmouth.

The former Australia U20 international then signed on at Turf Moor in 2013 following his release by Oldham as Burnley boss Sean Dyche refreshed his goalkeeping pool and he will now continue to compete for a first-team spot with Tom Heaton and Matt Gilks.
