Victor Moses claims to have had 'a few other options' to consider when making the decision to join Stoke City on loan.

With it clear that first team opportunities would be limited at parent club Chelsea, Moses has opted to head out of Stamford Bridge once more.

He spent the 2013/14 campaign at title challengers Liverpool, but again found chances hard to come by as Brendan Rodgers settled on a winning formula.

Moses then spent the summer away at the World Cup finals with Nigeria, before returning to England and a decision on his future.

Stoke prevailed in the clamour for his signature, with the 23-year-old winger revealing that Mark Hughes had a major impact on his choice to head for the Britannia Stadium.

Moses said in The Sentinel: “I had a few options to go to other clubs, but when I heard about Stoke I knew that they had a good manager and I thought it would be good to come here and work under him.

“He’s a great manager, and was a great footballer too, and for me to play under him will be a great achievement.

“I just want to give 110 per cent to the club and hopefully we will achieve what the club are looking to do this season.”
