Emmanuel Adebayor is targeting a fight for the UEFA Champions League spots after rejoining Tottenham on a permanent basis.
The 28-year-old striker finally completed the formalities of his £5million move from Manchester City earlier this week.
Adebayor fired 17 Premier League goals for Spurs during his loan spell at the club last season to help them to a fourth-place finish.
But Spurs were denied Champions League qualification when Chelsea lifted the trophy in May and the former Arsenal man is anticipating another tough battle this term.
"Last year was quite intense," said the Togo international told Spurs TV.
"And this season every game will be difficult as you saw at Newcastle on Saturday. They have a good team.
Fighting
"Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle will all be fighting for the top four spots.
"It's not going to be easy but as a footballer you just have to keep doing your thing and see what happens at the end of the season."
The deal to take Adebayor back to White Hart Lane has been imminent for some time, only stalling as Spurs failed to reach agreement with City over the player's pay-off.
And Adebayor certainly doesn't feel like a new boy at the club.
He added: "I don't feel like a new player. I know all the players quite well.
"Everyone welcomed me and I'm happy to be back."
