Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has been called to appear before the SFA disciplinary committee over an alleged gesture made to Rangers fans during last month's Old Firm derby.
The Pole has been ordered to face the committee on 16th September over a charge of improper conduct.
The SFA review panel decided Boruc had a case to answer after studying photographs of the player which appeared in the press following Celtic's 4-2 home defeat on 31st August.
Boruc has never been far from controversy during his time in Scotland and if found guilty he could face a fine or ban.
A statement on the SFA's website read: "Press photographs showing the player making a one-fingered gesture were considered by the review panel.
"The player has been called to appear before the disciplinary committee at its
next meeting on September 16.
"Before the meeting, the player has to respond with his comments on the
alleged misconduct and to the material considered by the review panel.
"If the disciplinary committee finds the player to be guilty of improper
conduct, it may impose any penalty on the player."
