Cahill: Out for season
Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed Tim Cahill will miss the rest of the season with a broken foot.
The Australian midfielder was replaced just 10 minutes into last week's 1-1 draw with West Ham United and will not play again this term.
"Tim Cahill has a broken foot," Moyes told the club's official website.
"I think it's obvious that he will be out for the rest of the season."
Cahill has endured a frustrating 12 months with metatarsal injuries after originally suffering the problem against Sheffield United last March.
He aggravated the injury on his comeback in a pre-season friendly and did not make his first appearance of this campaign until late October.
The former Millwall man has been in good form for the Toffees as the club look to pip Liverpool to the fourth UEFA Champions League berth.
But Everton's quest to overhaul their local rivals must continue without the threat of Cahill, who has scored seven goals in the Premier League.
He now misses the closing seven matches of the season, starting with Sunday's derby against Liverpool at Anfield, which is live on Sky Sports 1.
