Jigar Naik: Leicestershire spinner sidelined for at least four months by dislocated shoulder

Leicestershire spinner Jagir Naik has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of a shoulder injury.

Naik dislocated his shoulder during the Friends Life t20 match against Nottinghamshire earlier this month.

He has undergone surgery which head coach Phil Whitticase says was a success.

"There was quite a lot of damage in the shoulder," Whitticase told BBC Radio.

"He has had his work done by the best surgeon in the country and he is 99% sure Jigar will be fine.

"It will be an extensive rehab programme and it will be a minimum of four months so we are looking at the middle of winter (before he returns)."
