Brook a blockbuster
Watching Kell Brook win that world title at last was terrific.
A win for the gym
I’m so happy that Kell Brook is now world champion and I’m so happy for the Ingle Gym, too.
Too tough for Brook
Quite simply this is a real close match-up, but the edge is in favour of Shawn Porter because he is at home, the world champion and is on a roll after two impressive wins.
Porter's not perfect
So we are now in fight week and while I am not out in California I feel like I am!
It has been a really decent year in the mixed-up world of boxing and if Kell Brook can bring home that world title in a couple of weeks, it really will be the icing on the cake for the season.
A super step-up?
Gennady Golovkin is the full package, simple as that.
It can be hard switching from amateur to the pro game but those three Olympians we have seen plenty of this season, have had no problems at all.
Collisions, of course!
So Tony Bellew and Nathan Cleverly are going to get it on again... but it's not the only collision course we're on. Hopefully!
Bell of the ball
You have to accept that both Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew failed pretty dismally as light-heavyweights at world level.
I think Britain has two very promising super-middleweights in Rocky Fielding and Callum Smith and we will be able to see how they are progressing on Sky Sports on Saturday night.
Kell's Porter call
The time and place aren't your biggest concern when you are fighting for a world title. Who and what you are fighting for are!
Make or break
So it looks like Kell Brook's big chance is finally on its way.
Glenn McCrory believes Ricky Burns’ defeat on points to Dejan Zlaticanin in the WBC International lightweight title bout could signal the end of the fighter’s career.
Burns to bounce back
It is a big night for Scottish boxing with a big bill but the one thing I really want to see is Ricky Burns firing on all cylinders.
As good as a rest
Are we going to see a new Ricky Burns on Friday night? I am not sure we need one.
Now Burns believes
I will get on to the new trainer and his technique later but the one thing I can not wait to see when he gets back in the ring is his new-found confidence.
Power to a few
Boxing is not always a meritocracy.
The war is over
Eddie Hearn admits the battle between Carl Froch and George Groves is over, but is not sure what's next.
A Brit of alright
That was an amazing, amazing night at Wembley.
Froch in full control
Last night we saw a different Carl Froch and one we fully expected. But there was also a different George Groves which we didn't quite expect.
