Robert Kubica has confirmed that he will continue his comeback in two further rallies with Citroen later this month.

The Pole, whose Formula One career was put on hold after he suffered horrific injuries in a rallying accident in February last year, won two minor events in Italy in September.

The 27-year-old will drive a Citroen C4 WRC in the Rally di Como in Italy before competing in the Rallye du Var, the eighth and final round of the French Tarmac Rally Championship.

Kubica will be driving the same car that powered Sebastian Loeb to four of his nine World Rally titles, and he said: "I can't wait to drive a car that is as quick and has been as successful as the C4 WRC.

"After completing a test session so that I can get used to the car, competing in the Rally di Como will, above all, be an opportunity to get a feel for the car and learn more about driving it in racing conditions.

"The objective will be different for the Rallye du Var. It will be the third time I have taken part, so it's a rally with which I am already familiar and where I feel comfortable.

"First and foremost I want to rack up as many miles as possible and improve in the category."
