WWE Survivor Series: Dean Ambrose goes chair crazy against Bray Wyatt

Roman Reigns to return in December; Nikki Bella wins Divas Title

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt tore clumps out of each other at Survivor Series – and they will do it all over again in less than a month’s time.

Wyatt and Ambrose fought a brutal battle in St Louis on Sunday night but their clash was curtailed when Ambrose whacked his rival with a chair and suffered a disqualification loss.

The Lunatic Fringe did not relent, though, and proceeded to thunder Wyatt through a table, bury him under a catalogue of chairs, and stare at the debris he had created from the top of a ladder.

However, Ambrose will be allowed to use toys in his rematch with The Eater of Worlds: a Tables, Ladders and Chairs encounter at the TLC pay-per-view on Sunday, December 14.

Ambrose and Wyatt’s duel, which came about after the latter attacked the former at Hell in a Cell, spilled outside the ring in the early stages with both men lucky to avoid being counted out.

The enemies did reconvene in the centre of the ring, hitting each other with an array of eye-catching manoeuvres, but were unable to put their foe down for the victory.

Wyatt was the first to search for assistance, reaching under the squared circle to grab a steel chair, but instead of using the seat himself, The Man of 1,000 Truths dared Ambrose to wield it – which he did.

The referee immediately brought an end to the match, if not the carnage, and the WWE Universe were rapidly treated to Ambrose at his belligerent and maniacal best.

Changes

Elsewhere in Missouri, Ambrose’s onetime Shield comrade, Roman Reigns, revealed that he would return to the ring in December after being sidelined since September following hernia surgery.

There were title changes, too, with The Miz and his stunt double, Damien Mizdow, becoming WWE Tag Team Champions and Nikki Bella ridding AJ Lee of her butterfly-emblazoned Divas belt.

Mizdow defeated Goldust to pinch The Bizarre One and Stardust’s straps during a Fatal Four-Way tag tussle that also featured Jimmy and Jey Uso and Los Matadores grapplers Diego and Fernando.

Bella, meanwhile, had her twin sister and personal assistant Brie to thank for her triumph, with the wife of Daniel Bryan kissing Lee on the ring apron and allowing her sibling to punch, Rack Attack and pin the champion just 33 second after the bout had started.

In addition, Adam Rose and The Bunny overcame Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil aka Slater Gator, while Alicia Fox, Emma, Natalya and Naomi all survived en route to conquering Paige, Summer Rae, Layla and Cameron in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match.

Plus, on the Survivor Series pre-show, the new and improved Fandango, now with Rosa Mendes as his valet, knocked off Justin Gabriel and Jack Swagger bested former Real Americans partner Cesaro.
