Etixx - Quick-Step rider takes overall race lead

Mark Cavendish took an early lead of the Tour of Turkey by sprinting to victory on the opening stage on Sunday.
Cavendish (Etixx - Quick-Step) proved too fast for runner-up Caleb Ewan (Orica-GreenEdge) and third-placed Nicoal Ruffoni (Bardiani-CSF) at the end of a 145km day starting and finishing in Alanya.
The win was Cavendish's seventh of what has so far been a prolific season.
The eight-day race continues on Monday with a rolling 182km second stage starting in Alanya and finishing in Antalya.
