NBA: The in-form Cavaliers were too good for Utah

Cleveland Cavaliers made it four wins in a row as LeBron James scored 26 points to help them to a 106-92 win over Utah Jazz.

James missed practice on Tuesday due to illness but the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player recovered to shoot 8-from-16, adding nine assists and seven rebounds.

Kevin Love added 19 points and 13 rebounds while guard Kyrie Irving contributed 18 points on a night in which every Cleveland starter reached double figures.

The Cavaliers have bounced back after a recent six-game losing streak, five of which James missed due to injury, and are 23-20, four games behind Chicago in the Central Division.

Enes Kanter scored 24 points and grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds to lead the Jazz but Utah have now lost five of their last six and have a 14-28 record.

Elsewhere, Golden State’s Stephen Curry got involved in an altercation with an opponent as the Warriors stretched their home winning run to 17 games with a 126-113 win over Houston.

Curry, who finished with 22 points and 10 assists, confronted Rockets forward Trevor Ariza after he was bumped in the third quarter and had to be restrained by team mates. Ariza was handed a technical foul after a video review.

Golden State have the best record in the NBA and grabbed control by outscoring Houston 30-13 in the second quarter. The hosts led by 30 in the third before the Rockets' reserves made the final margin closer.

James Harden had 33 points and six assists for Houston, which lost all four games of the season series against the Warriors, the first such sweep for 41 years.

The Warriors extended their lead in the Western Conference to 4 1/2 games over Portland, which gave up a big early lead in losing at Phoenix.

Elsewhere, Memphis beat Toronto in a clash of divisional leaders, while Oklahoma City won in overtime at Washington.

New York's Carmelo Anthony had 27 points and 11 rebounds, as the Knicks secured a 98-91 win at Philadelphia, making it two victories in a row after 16 consecutive losses.
