THE MASTERS 2014

  10 - 13 April

Nick Watney

Yeah, it was awesome. I mean, I'm very, very happy to have played well. But at the same time I'm kind of bummed that the week is over. But I think I get to come back next year, so I'm very excited.

- After finishing 11th on debut in 2008 - earning himself a return trip in 12 months' time - Watney can't wait for the 2009 Masters. .

Well, I've seen that hole on TV and played a few practice rounds, and I knew the ball was going to come down to the right. Jeev (Milkha Singh, his playing partner) actually hit right before me and his ball released to the right. I just threw it out there to the left and got lucky.

- Watney on holing a 119-yard sand wedge for eagle on the 14th in 2008.

It was a magical day. I was having so much fun coming down the stretch and I didn't really want it to end. Although I didn't win the tournament, it's a dream come true to play a good round on Sunday at Augusta.

- Watney on his closing 65 in 2010 - the joint low round of the day which elevated him to seventh place.

My putting was definitely the key. I hit it great, but you can hit it 10 feet all day, if you don't make anything, it's just a 72. So I felt good with the putter and luckily I rolled some in.

- 2010. Watney reflects on his seven-under closing round which included eight birdies.

I love this place. I think it's just a magical place. I love the golf course, and it's something I'm looking forward to next year right now.

- Roll on 2011 says Watney after his fast finish in 2010.

There's no doubt about it, and it'll probably be at this course.

- Watney's swing coach Butch Harmon after being asked if he has a future major champion on his hands.

For some reason, my eye just sees the lines. I like to play a draw, and it's documented that a draw works well around here. I love everything about it.

- Watney on why Augusta National suits him.
