NatWest Pro40 - Division Two
Match abandoned, rain, 1pt each
Warwickshire Bears 28-1 v Yorkshire Phoenix
Darren Gough's final professional appearance at Headingley was ruined by the rain as Yorkshire's Pro40 Division Two match with Warwickshire was abandoned after just six overs.
The one point gained by both sides sees Pheonix remain just outside the third promotion place, but a win in their final league fixture against Northamptonshire will guarantee their place in Division One next season.
Heavy rain in West Yorkshire throughout the day had put the original start time of the Headingley Carnegie clash back an hour, and play did start in front of a smattering of spectators.
However, with the Bears on 28-1 after eight overs, another prolonged downpour brought an abrupt end to proceedings.
Deon Kruis dismissed Jonathan Trott for 11 in the only wicket to fall - Neil Carter (12 not out) and Jim Troughton (2no) were at the crease when the rain descended.
