Defending champions Leicestershire suffered their third successive Friends Life t20 North Group defeat as they lost by 22 runs to Yorkshire at Headingley.
Yorkshire had narrowly lost their opening game to Durham on Friday but they bounced back in style by making 170-4 and then restricting the Foxes to 148.
Skipper Andrew Gale and Phil Jaques gave the home side a flying start with an opening stand of 116 in 13 overs before they both fell in quick succession.
Gale smashed 70 off 42 balls, including six fours and three sixes, while Jaques hit 48 from 41 deliveries.
Jonny Bairstow (17), who had been released from England duty, and David Miller (30no) continued the punishment in the closing stages of the innings.
Josh Cobb (46) and Greg Smith (19) got Leicestershire's reply off to a decent start but Cobb's run out by Bairstow sparked a steady stream of wickets as the visitors collapsed from 85-2 to 148 all out.
Ramnaresh Sarwan made a defiant 45, but the damage was done by Ryan Sidebottom (2-25), Rich Pyrah (2-24), Azeem Rafiq (2-28) and Mitchell Starc (3-26).
