NatWest Pro40 - Division One
Yorkshire Phoenix 199-7 Innings Complete (A W Gale 83) v Durham Dynamos 154 (P Mustard 55)
Yorkshire beat Durham by 13 runs (D/L Method)
Yorkshire Carnegie have ended a run of 10 consecutive matches without a win in all competitions by scoring a 13-run victory over the Durham Dynamos in their NatWest Pro40 match in Scarborough.
Replying to Yorkshire's 199-7, rain meant that the visitors were set a revised target of 202 in 37 overs.
However, with Durham having reached 118-4 in 22.3 overs, another interruption left them needing 168 for victory in a further 7.3 overs.
But Durham were instead dismissed for 154 all out with just two balls remaining.
Before the final downpour, Phil Mustard and Ian Blackwell racked up 85 in 10 overs before the latter (37) was caught and bowled by David Wainwright.
Mustard, who had taken three fours off Tim Bresnan's first over, followed with a couple of consecutive sixes at the expense of Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, who nevertheless claimed three wickets.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Yorkshire had earlier made a cracking start as openers Jacques Rudolph and Andrew Gale put on 81 in 17 overs thanks to some fine attacking strokeplay.
Gale's half-century arrived off 59 balls but the pair were eventually split by Ben Harmison, who dismissed Rudolph (30) caught at mid-wicket by Gareth Breese.
But the home side then stumbled as Harmison struck again, this time claiming captain Anthony McGrath who was caught behind by Mustard.
Breese then dismissed Adam Lyth and Jonathan Bairstow to leave Gale unbeaten on 67 and Yorkshire on 124-4 before a heavy shower held up play in the 29th over.
Bresnan was dismissed by Breese on the resumption of play but Rana then hit 42 runs off only 15 balls with five sixes and two fours.
After making 83 from 108 deliveries with five fours and three sixes, Gale was eventually run out by Breese's direct hit on the stumps while attempting a quick single.
