William Porterfield blasted an unbeaten century to help Warwickshire hammer CB40 Group C whipping boys Unicorns by 10 wickets at Wormsley.
Chris Woakes, back from two weeks away on England Lions duty, marked his return to county action with 4-24 from his eight overs as the Unicorns were bowled out for 185.
It could have been much worse for the hosts, though, as at one stage they were reduced to 12-5 by Woakes and Chris Wright (2-23).
However, Lewis Hill (33) and Glen Quorl (44) began a lower-order recovery, carrying the Unicorns' total beyond three figures during a stand of 64 for the eighth wicket.
No. 10 Luke Beaven (25no) and last-man Paul Hindmarch then continued the fightback in quite stunning fashion, the latter whacking eight fours and a six to make a run-a-ball 50 that carried the home side to 185.
The Bears, though, made short work of their target, racing across the finishing line with 64 balls to spare.
Ireland international Porterfield stroked a magnificent 100 not out from 89 balls that included 16 boundaries.
Varun Chopra was happy to play second fiddle during an unbroken opening stand, the former Essex batsman finishing up unbeaten on 73 from 87 deliveries. His 10th boundary completed victory in the 30th over.
