Jason Roy continued his good form as Surrey chased down a target of 156 to beat Kent by eight wickets in the NatWest T20 Blast.
Opening batsman Roy hit 79 off 46 balls, dominating an opening stand of 118 with Tillakaratne Dilshan (46) at The Oval.
Both fell with the winning line in sight but Kevin Pietersen (16no) and Gary Wilson (12no) saw Surrey home with 13 deliveries to spare.
Roy now has 442 runs in eight T20 innings this summer, including six half-centuries, and is the leading run scorer in the tournament.
Half-centuries from Fabian Cowdrey (55) and Darren Stevens (56no) earlier helped Kent to 155-4 after being sent in.
Surrey have now won four matches in a row to move within two points of South Group leaders Essex.
