S Africa vs Pakistan
Ahmed Shehzad has been named Man of the Match for his century which set up the Pakistan innings.
Pakistan win by 1 run, and take a 2-0 lead into the final match. A brilliant innings by AB de Villiers had taken the game away from Pakistan after an uncertain start. With Amla looking immovable, it was all over bar the shouting. However, Amla lost his touch at the death, and his wicket, and with Duminy perishing going for the glory shot, suddenly there was just too much to do and Junaid has brought his team home by the narrowest of margins.
Over 45 - SA 261/6 - Miller 2 (4) McLaren 0 (1)
WICKET! Duminy c Anwar Ali b Junaid Khan 15 (18). A brilliant catch as Duminy attempts the slog sweep, but Anwar swoops in and clutches the ball just off the ground. Junaid continues to fire in the yorkers, and Miller is left needing to hit a 6 to win off the last ball. Although it goes for 4 leg byes, that is enough and Pakistan have snatched victory by 1 run. Junaid 9-0-42-3.
Over 44 - SA 254/5 - Duminy 15 (17)
WICKET! Amla c Mohammad Hafeez b Saeed Ajmal 98 (131). Amla's timing seems to have deserted him, and after some nervous shots he fails to fully connect with a slog sweep and is taken at deep mid wickets. 9 needed off the final over. Ajmal 8-0-46-1.
Over 43 - SA 252/4 - Amla 97 (127) Duminy 14 (15)
Amla drives straight, and it crashes into Junaid's shin. He will need some treatment before continuing. After some of the magic spray, he gets in a dot ball. Duminy gets across to the next one, however, and plays it delicately on the leg side for a boundary. 2 overs to go, and now just 11 needed. Junaid 8-0-40-2.
Over 42 - SA 243/4 - Amla 95 (125) Duminy 7 (11)
Some pressure being applied by Pakistan, but Amla gets some width to slap one through the covers with the sweeper having brought into the circle. 20 needed off 18 balls. Ajmal 7-0-44-0.
Over 41 - SA 237/4 - Amla 90 (122) Duminy 6 (8)
SA pegged back a bit in that over, still needing 26 off 24 balls. Junaid 7-0-31-2.
Over 40 - SA 232/4 - Amla 89 (120) Duminy 2 (4)
The Power Play ends with a bit of a whimper, but SA added 52 in 5 telling overs, and now need just 31 off the last 30 balls. Ajmal 6-0-38-0.
Over 39 - SA 227/4 - Amla 86 (116) Duminy 0 (1)
AB backs away and blasts one through the covers, following up with another sweep to a fine leg position. He can afford to stay in the crease as he smashes a drive to the man at mid off. WICKET! De Villiers c Shahid Afridi b Junaid Khan 67 (45). All good things must come to an end though, and he lifts one to Afridi at long leg. Can SA maintain the momentum? Junaid 6-0-26-2.
Over 38 - SA 219/3 - Amla 86 (116) de Villiers 70 (41)
De Villiers up to his old tricks, getting outside the line of off stump and sweeping the fast bowler to long leg. Amla is almost run out next ball as de Villiers hits it too well to a fielder, and indeed he would have been out if it had hit. A cramped hook flies off the top edge for another boundary, and then middles a pull to a ball that was not so short. 100 partnership now. Misbah hardly knows where to post his fielders under this assault. Anwar 7-1-39-0.
Over 37 - SA 205/3 - Amla 85 (115) de Villiers 57 (36)
Junaid Khan back, and his opening, short, delivery gets well placed wide of 3rd man. That brings up the 200. A thick edge from de Villiers lands short of the fielder at 3rd man. Meanwhile, Amla is all delicate touches and perfect timing, unlike the first few balls he faced. Junaid 5-0-17-1.
Over 36 - SA 196/3 - Amla 77 (110) de Villiers 56 (35)
FIFTY! De Villiers swats one out of the ground over mid wicket, and raises his 50 in style off 33 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. New ball please, is the call to the reserve umpire as that one becomes a souvenier. It's all-out assault time now as de Villiers tickles the last ball to fine leg. Ajmal 5-0-39-0.
Over 35 - SA 180/3 - Amla 76 (109) de Villiers 42 (30)
De Villiers puts his foot on the gas, advancing to smash one flat over long on for the maximum, and he follows up by backing away to cut through the covers. The Power Play will come into effect with SA needing 83 in the last 10 overs. Hafeez 8-0-44-0.
Over 34 - SA 166/3 - Amla 74 (107) de Villiers 30 (26)
Afridi is done for the day, as SA still need 97 off 66 balls. Afridi 9-0-38-2.
Over 33 - SA 160/3 - Amla 72 (104) de Villiers 26 (23)
Again just singles as the rate is over 8 to the over. Hafeez 7-0-30-0.
Over 32 - SA 156/3 - Amla 70 (101) de Villiers 24 (20)
Good placement, but SA are struggling to find the boundaries. 107 needed off 78 balls now. Afridi 8-0-32-2.
Over 31 - SA 151/3 - Amla 67 (98) de Villiers 22 (17)
Amla frustrated by some keen fielding in the inner circle, and has to use some skill to change the angle of his leg side shots. Hafeez 6-0-26-0.
Over 30 - SA 148/3 - Amla 65 (93) de Villiers 21 (16)
Good running and good placing, but SA need to keep the boundaries pouring in the closing overs, Speaking of pouring, it's time for DRINKS. Afridi 7-0-27-2.
Over 29 - SA 144/3 - Amla 63 (90) de Villiers 19 (13)
A much needed piece of luck as de Villiers takes a quick single to Anwar Ali, whose throw beats the keeper and fine leg for 4 overthrows. Bilawal 4-0-39-0.
Over 28 - SA 132/3 - Amla 62 (88) de Villiers 9 (9)
De Villiers has come out with great intent, as is needed with the required rate inching towards 8 to the over. Afridi 6-0-23-2.
