Day 1 of 1
Match Abandoned without a ball bowled

New Zealand vs W Indies

New Zealand v West Indies: Second ODI abandoned due to rain

McLean Park: No play possible at venue due to rain

The second one-day international between New Zealand and West Indies in Napier was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.

Light drizzle in the morning meant a delayed start at McLean Park, and that turned to heavier rain later on, forcing the umpires to call off proceedings.

The Windies are 1-0 up in the series having secured a two-wicket win in a low-scoring opener in Auckland on Boxing Day.

The third meeting in the five-match series is scheduled to take place in Queenstown on New Year's Day.
