New Zealand vs W Indies

Kirk Edwards and Dwayne Bravo lead West Indies to New Zealand victory

Dwayne Bravo: Celebrates his century during a man-of-the-match display

Kirk Edwards and Dwayne Bravo both struck centuries as the West Indies thrashed New Zealand by 203 runs in the fifth and final one-day international to tie the series 2-2.

Looking to bounce back from heavy defeats in Queenstown and Nelson in the last two matches, the West Indies put themselves in a great position after scoring 363-4 batting first in Hamilton.

Opener Kieran Powell set the tone with 73 off 44 balls at the top of the order before Edwards, with his maiden ODI ton, and captain Bravo, with his second, powered the tourists to comfortably their biggest total of the series.

Edwards' 123 not out came off 108 balls and included 12 fours and four sixes, while Bravo faced just 81 balls for his 106 and hit 12 fours and three sixes as New Zealand were made to rue their decision to put the West Indies in to bat.

And that massive total proved far too much for the Black Caps, who lost wickets at regular intervals before being dismissed for 160 with over 20 overs unused.

Slow left-armer Nikita Miller was their tormentor-in-chief, finishing with figures of four for 45 off his 10 overs, including the key wickets of home stars Ross Taylor (nine) and Brendon McCullum (six).

Corey Anderson, who scored the fastest one-day international century in history in the third match in Queenstown, top-scored with 29 while five more of his team-mates managed to get to at least 15.

However, none of them were able to build on those starts as Jason Holder (2-35), Andre Russell (2-31) and man-of-the-match Bravo (1-12) provided able support for Miller.
