Mumbai win by 19 runs
Good win for Mumbai, they beat Bangalore by 19 runs. They have basically out-batted a batting super power in the IPL, that will give them a lot of confidence. Their bowling for weakened today but they still managed to pick up wickets and restrict RCB.
Over 20 - RCB 168/8 (Aaron 7, Dinda 2)
27 needed from 6 balls, Pollard to bowl the final over. Aaron comes forward to the short ball and swings at it, it goes over the keeper for four. Pollard bowls a wide to delay the inevitable for RCB, a single from the extra ball, but Mumbai win by 19 runs.
Over 19 - RCB 161/8 (Aaron 2, Dinda 1)
Malinga runs in to bowl the 19th over, Rossouw hits the first ball for a six over wide long-on. WICKET! Malinga strikes with his next ball, Rossouw hits it straight to Rohit Sharma at cover, who takes the catch and RCB lose their 8th wicket. Dinda comes out to bat and digs out a Malinga yorker for a dot ball. A couple of singles to end the over.
Over 18 - RCB 153/7 (Aaron 1, Rossouw 18)
Bumrah starts his final over, Rossouw takes a single from the first ball. Six, Harshal hits the ball for a six, he swings at the full ball and hits it over deep cover for a six. WICKET! Bumrah strikes with his next ball, Harshal Patel is bowled and Bangalore lose their 7th wicket. Aaron comes in to bat, takes a single behind point to get off the mark. Nine from the over, RCB need 35 from 12 balls.
Over 17 - RCB 144/6 (H Patel 0, Rossouw 16)
The run rate needed is 13.5 and Mumbai will feel comfortable at this stage, they have bowled well after the power play. Malinga comes back into the attack, Rossouw takes a single from the first ball. Four, a bit streaky from Starc as he goes for the slice and ends up outside edging this over point for four. WICKET! Malinga strikes, Pollard takes the catch to get rid of Starc. It was fired outside off by Malinga and Starc reaches out for it to scoop it over the off side, but only manages to give Pollard an easy catch. Harshal Patel makes his way to the crease. Four, Rossouw hits Malinga over midwicket for four, there is no fielder there. A single to end the over, RCB need 44 from 18 balls.
Over 16 - RCB 134/5 (Starc 1, Rossouw 10)
Pollard starts his third over, Yuvi takes a single from the first ball to bring Rilee on strike. Six, Rilee Rossouw hits Pollard out of the park for a six, it went a few rows back over deep midwicket. WICKET! Pollard strikes, Yuvi is run out. Rossouw looks to pull the ball but gets an inside edge on it and they go for a single. It was always going to be tight, Pollard kicks it on to the stumps and Yuvi is short of his ground. A couple of singles to end the over. Starc walks out to bat.
Over 15 - RCB 125/4 (Y Singh 5, Rossouw 3)
Rohit brings himself into the attack, six singles from the over and a good start from Rohit. The asking rate is up to 12.6 per over now.
Over 14 - RCB 119/4 (Y Singh 2, Rossouw 0)
Suyal comes back into the attack, Rohit looking to sneak in some overs from him. Suyal redeems himself too, WICKET! Kohli is out and Mumbai celebrate. The master of the chase is out as Anderson takes a good catch at long-on, Kohli has to go. The asking rate has rocketed to 10.61 per over. Rilee Rossouw walks out to bat, can he make a name for himself here. Three dots to end another brilliant over from Mumbai, they have certainly pulled this game back.
Over 13 - RCB 118/3 (Y Singh 1, Kohli 35)
Bumrah comes into the attack, Rohit does not have many bowling options today. A couple of dots and then WICKET! Bumrah strikes, AB is bowled for 9, and Mumbai get their third wicket. Bumrah makes up for the dropped catch, by knocking AB's leg stump out of the ground as he was trying one of his ramp shots. Yuvi comes out to bat. Brilliant over from Bumrah, just a couple of singles and the wicket of AB.
Over 12 - RCB 116/2 (de Villiers 9, Kohli 34)
Dropped, Malinga brought back into the attack and he creates a chance with his first ball. Kohli flicks it off his pads and Bumrah drops an easy catch at short fine leg. Three singles and then AB ends the over with a boundary as he hits it through sweeper cover for four. 7 from the over, RCB need 9 per over from now on.
Over 11 - RCB 109/2 (de Villiers 4, Kohli 32)
Pollard starts his second over, Kohli hits the half volley down the ground for four, sheer power in that shot. Four more, a freebie from Pollard and Kohli flicks it for four to fine leg. Kohli picks up a couple more as he hits it wide of square leg, both these batsmen are quick between the wickets. 11 from the over, Kohli and AB doing this comfortably.
Over 10 - RCB 98/2 (de Villiers 4, Kohli 21)
Four leg byes, Harbhajan drifts down the leg side and Gayle misses the sweep but pads it away for four. A single and then Kohli comes down the track to the flighted ball and hits it into the sight screen for a six. A single and then Harbhajan strikes, WICKET! Gayle can't believe he is bowled but he is and has to walk off, Mumbai get their second wicket. AB gets promoted up the order, and he starts with a boundary. RCB are going at 9.8 runs per over and need 9 per over.
Over 9 - RCB 82/1 (Gayle 37, Kohli 14)
Pollard comes into the attack and Kohli starts the over with a six, he comes down the track and hits it over long-off for a big one. Four singles to end the over, 10 runs from it.
Over 8 - RCB 72/1 (Gayle 35, Kohli 6)
Harbhajan starts his third over, Kohli takes a single from the first ball. A couple of runs to Kohli hits it through square leg. A single to end the over.
Over 7 - RCB 67/1 (Gayle 35, Kohli 2)
Bumrah comes back into the attack, three singles from the over. A good start from Mumbai after the power play. The asking rate is now 9.3 per over.
Over 6 - RCB 64/1 (Gayle 34, Kohli 1)
WICKET! Harbhajan strikes, Patel goes for the slog and misses, he is too early into the shot and is bowled. Kohli walks out to bat, gets off the mark with a single and brings Gayle on strike. Four, Gayle sends the ball to the boundary, he is connecting the ball well tonight. Six, 10 from the last two balls and Gayle spoils Harbhajan's over. Good power play for RCB.
Over 5 - RCB 53/0 (Gayle 24, Patel 26)
Malinga runs in to bowl his first over, a dot and then a couple of singles to start the over, RCB go past 50. A short ball from Malinga and Gayle pulls it awkwardly to the leg side for a couple of runs. Four runs from the over, a good start from Malinga.
Over 4 - RCB 49/0 (Gayle 21, Patel 25)
Harbhajan comes into the attack for damage control. Four, Patel hits it cleanly over short fine leg for four, he walks across his stumps and connects. Patel comes down the wicket and hits Harbhajan wide of mid-on for two runs. Six from the over, a decent start from the spinner.
Over 3 - RCB 43/0 (Gayle 21, Patel 19)
Suyal bowls a wide, and then another one. Bangalore bowled a lot of those today, Mumbai seem to be repeating their mistake. Rayudu does well at mid-on to try and catch that, as Patel chips it down the ground, it goes for four. Six, Gayle hits his first boundary and it is a six, Mumbai's opening seamers are under pressure now. Gayle hits it down the ground and over long-off. Another wide from Suyal and then Gayle hits another boundary, this time for four over midwicket. Still two balls to go in this expensive over. Six, Gayle hits another one over long-off, another six from him. Four, the over gets worse for Mumbai as Gayle finishes it with a four, he scores 20 runs from the over and 28 runs overall. Huge over for RCB.
Over 2 - RCB 15/0 (Gayle 1, Patel 14)
Bumrah comes into the attack from the other end, Rohit holding back Malinga for later. Patel slaps the second ball in front of square for four. Four more, Patel hits consecutive boundaries, this one flies through cover and point for four more. Patel is lucky as he outside edges it and it flies past slips for a single.
