David Miller hit a 38-ball century as Kings XI Punjab improved their IPL play-off prospects with a six-wicket success over Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chandigarh.
Set a target of 191, Miller struck 101 not out to lead the Kings XI across the line with two overs to spare.
The South African came to the crease with the score on 51-3 and that soon became 64-4 when Murali Kartik (2-24) dismissed David Hussey (13).
But Miller and Rajagopal Sathish (27no) shared an unbroken 130-run stand for the fifth wicket to pull victory out of the fire.
Miller's contribution contained eight fours and seven sixes and included taking 26 from an RP Singh over.
Earlier, the Royal Challengers made 190-3 after being invited to bat at the PCA Stadium.
Openers Cheteshwar Pujara (51) and Chris Gayle (61) laid a solid platform with a 102-run stand in 11.2 overs and AB de Villiers added 38 not out off 19 balls late on.
The result means the Kings XI are in sixth place in the table on 10 points, four behind RCB who are among four teams level on 14 points. The top four in the nine-team league make the play-offs.
