Kent's final home match in the group stages of the Friends Provident Trophy against Middlesex was called off without a ball being bowled.
Torrential overnight rain left the outfield under water at Tunbridge Wells and there was also water under the covers banishing any slight hope of any play in the South East.
Following an early inspection by the umpires the match was abandoned meaning that Kent still top the table with 11 points from their eight games and are assured of a quarter-final spot.
Middlesex are almost certainly out of the competition but still have an outside chance if Essex are to lose their last two matches.
The Crusaders would then have to dramatically improve their run-rate in their final match against Essex on Wednesday.
