The batting powerplay is taken as the light rain starts to fall again. If the batsmen are aggressive then this could be over in a hurry. Before a ball can be bowled, rain has stopped play.

Bravo takes matters into him own hands and has another crack at the bowling crease. He starts the way he finished his last spell, short and wide. Karthik punishes the poor bowling and India march past 200.

Over 33 - Ind 195/2 (Dhawan 88, Karthik 24)
The match is slowly coming to an end. Narine is bowling a tight a line and Karthik is not willing to take any risks, because there is so much time left to knock off the required runs.
Over 32 - Ind 193/2 (Dhawan 88, Karthik 22)
Chris Gayle is introduced into the attack for the first time. The third string off-spinner is struggling to land it, and now a good piece of fielding from Sammy results in the ex-skipper limping off. He landed on the ball and is probably just winded.
Over 31 - Ind 182/2 (Dhawan 85, Karthik 16)
The rags have now come out to help and dry the ball. Narine is struggling to grip it now. The rap won't help much because as soon as the seem gets wet, it becomes very slippery, and there isn't much the fielding team can do about it.
Over 30 - Ind 179/2 (Dhawan 84, Karthik 14)
The Indian's are cruising home now as they just work Samuels around and take singles, almost at will. The players take a drink, a strange decision from the umpires seeing as it is raining lightly.
Over 29 - Ind 175/2 (Dhawan 82, Karthik 12)
Narine bowls to Dhawan and a huge lbw shout goes up. The fielding team have reviewed it, but the ball pitched outside leg and therefore the batsman survives. A stray ball down the leg-side is glanced away for four runs by Karthik. The boundary should give the nervous looking batsman a bit more confidence.
Over 28 - Ind 168/2 (Dhawan 80, Karthik 7)
The West Indies number two off-spinner is getting a good run at the bowling crease. That is at least one positive that the fielding team can take out of this game.
Over 27 - Ind 164/2 (Dhawan 78, Karthik 6)
Narine is starting to make the ball really talk. Karthik looks a little nervous and the close in fielders are being very chatty. They are sure to be telling him that it means a lot to his future that he does not get out.
Over 26 - Ind 163/2 (Dhawan 77, Karthik 6)
Samuels is worked for a few singles in what turns out to be decent over for the West Indies. It is Important for the Windies to make India fight for every run, because their net run rate will take a hammering from this heavy loss.
Over 25 - Ind 160/2 (Dhawan 74, Karthik 5)
Roach is given Karthik a bit of a working over, as Karthik has been the only Indian batsman to struggle so far. A beautiful on-drives gives Karthik his first boundary and will maybe get him going in this innings.
Over 24 - Ind 156/2 (Dhawan 74, Karthik 1)
Samuels comes into the attack. He has also caught the disease of being short and Dhawan deals with it. The over comes to an end, and the West Indies walk very slowly between the overs now. They are a beaten team and are not dealing with it well mentally.
Over 23 - Ind 150/2 (Dhawan 69, Karthik 0)
Roach returns to the attack and starts with a loose delivery down the leg-side. Dhawan picks it up and drop kicks it for a one bounce four. The next ball is short and pulled, but the result remains the same. The 150 comes up for India in just the 23rd over. It shows that this is a 300 wicket if you bat well.
