India vs Sri Lanka
India win by 8 wickets and still have 15 overs to spare. The run chase was just as clinical as their earlier bowling performance. India march onto the final as the clear favourites.
Over 35 - IND 182/2 (Raina 3, Kholi 58)
The field has finally been brought up as Malinga tries to get the last laugh against Kholi. 5 wides down the leg-side sums up the day for Sri Lanka. Raina hooks fine down the leg-side for a boundary, which is the winning stroke.
Over 34 - IND 168/2 (Raina 2, Kholi 54)
Mendis is worked for consecutive two's into the outfield. Kholi then dances down the deck and smashes a straight six to bring up his 50.
Over 33 - IND 155/2 (Raina 2, Kholi 41)
Malinga returns to try and knock over the new batsman. Kholi forces a boundary off the back-foot through point. The bowler over corrects and is worked for two through the on-side which brings up the 150. A short one is then swung away over square-leg for another boundary. Kholi is finishing the game with style.
Over 32 - IND 144/2 (Raina 2, Kholi 30)
Mendis is cracked into the covers but a great stop saves a certain boundary. Dhawan doesn't pick the google and the third-umpire is called to judge the stumping appeal. WICKET. Dhawan is stumped.
Over 31 - IND 140/1 (Dhawan 67, Kholi 29)
Dhawan now comes down the pitch and slashes Kulasekara to point. The fielder drops a tough chance and then gives away an over-throw. Things are starting to fall apart for Sri Lanka. India have moved up a gear as they look to finish this game in a hurry.
Over 30 - IND 133/1 (Dhawan 62, Kholi 27)
Mendis comes into the attack to bowl some leg-spin. The new bowler is dealt with easily. It looks as if the two batsmen are now just having a middle practise. There is seemingly none of the usual pressure of a semi-final on these batsmen. The 50 partnership comes up.
Over 29 - IND 122/1 (Dhawan 56, Kholi 22)
Kulasekara has changed ends. Kholi dances down the wicket and hits a one bounce four over extra cover.
Over 28 - IND 117/1 (Dhawan 55, Kholi 18)
Perera is brought back into the attack. It may be time for Mathews to bring the field up, stop all the singles and ask the batsmen to take a risk and go over the top.
Over 27 - IND 114/1 (Dhawan 54, Kholi 17)
Malinga continues to bend his back, but as of yet we have not seen any yorkers or slower balls. He seems to have forgetton about his two most leathal weapons.
Over 26 - IND 110/1 (Dhawan 52, Kholi 15)
Kulasekara is back in place of Herath. The ball is a bit older now and the movement that Kulasekara extracted earlier has largely gone. A powerful pull brings up the opener's 50.
Over 25 - IND 104/1 (Dhawan 48, Kholi 14)
After playing and missing off three consecutive deliveries, Kholi lays bat on ball and gets down to the non-strikers end. The run rate has slowed in the last couple overs, but India are still in control and won't worry about it.
Over 24 - IND 102/1 (Dhawan 47, Kholi 13)
Herath tucks Dhawan up with a few dot balls. The batsman holds his nerve and just takes an easy single down the ground to release the pressure.
Over 23 - IND 100/1 (Dhawan 46, Kholi 12)
Malinga is brought back into the attack in what could be seen as a last through of the dice. Kholi dispatches the bowler over mid-wicket but the ball plugs in the wet outfield and the batsman therefore only gets two runs. Yet another single brings up the 100.
Over 22 - IND 93/1 (Dhawan 43, Kholi 8)
Herath rushes through another over. The singles continue to flow for India.
Over 21 - IND 89/1 (Dhawan 41, Kholi 7)
India have faced 20 overs which means that even if the rain comes, a result can be determined by the D/L method. India are miles ahead, as one would expect. Mathews gets through another quiet over, but being economical will not win this match for Sri Lanka. Wickets are needed.
Over 20 - IND 87/1 (Dhawan 41, Kholi 5)
Herath is given another over. If nothing dramatic happens, then perhaps it is time to unleash Malinga for a burst. A straight ball keeps very low, but Kholi does extremely well to jam down on it. The next delivery bounces as expected and is driven for three runs through the covers. Dhawan then helps himself to a couple through point.
Over 19 - IND 82/1 (Dhawan 39, Kholi 2)
The wicker-taker continues. Dhawan looks to have shifted down a gear and is now content to work singles while the new man plays himself in.
Over 18 - IND 80/1 (Dhawan 38, Kholi 1)
Spin is brought on in the form of Herath. A score for Kholi will hold India in good stead heading into the final. Another short stoppage in play as a number of fans decide that they would like to go for a run on the field.
Over 17 - IND 77/1 (Dhawan 36, Kholi 0)
Dhawan plays another lovely shot through the covers. the outfield is still slow so the batsman adds three to his total. WICKET. Rohit runs down the wicket and tries to go over mid-off. The seam movement beats the inside edge and takes the top of leg-stump. Mathews has struck for Sri Lanka.
