Twenty20 Cup - Midlands/West/Wales Division
Worcestershire 152-8 Innings Complete (M A Hardinges 4-30) v Gloucestershire 93 (D K H Mitchell 4-11)
Worcestershire beat Gloucestershire by 59 runs

Worcestershire inflicted more Twenty20 Cup misery on near-neighbours Gloucestershire after dishing out a 59-run victory at the County Ground.

Daryl Mitchell was the star of the show as he took 4-11 to help the Royals comfortably defend a par 152-8.

After winning the toss and electing to bat Stephen Moore hit 41 off just 24 balls for the visitors and shared a key third-wicket partnership of 75 with Ben Smith (32).

Gareth Batty's valuable 29 not out off 25 balls at the death proved significant as he helped make the total competitive.

The Gladiators were bowled out for a miserable 93 in reply, Mark Hardinges top-scoring with 27.

Mitchell's wizardry with the ball now means Gloucestershire look set for a bottom placed finish in the Midlands/West/Wales group.
