Anamul Haque hits stunning century as Bangladesh beat West Indies by 160 runs

Anamul Haque: Celebrates century against West Indies

Abdur Razzaq: three wickets for Bangladesh

Bangladesh enjoyed their record ODI victory as they embarrassed the West Indies by 160 runs to take a 2-0 lead in a series they have so far dominated.

Anamul Haque's superb 120 was the mainstay of the home side's 292-6 and then Abdur Razzaq and Sohag Gazi claimed three wickets each, as the visitors were dismissed for a below-par 132 with almost 19 overs to spare.

The hosts were asked to bat first in what was expected to be another low-scoring match, having dismissed the tourists for less than 200 in the opening game.

Anamul had scored 41 on debut in that game as half-centuries from Tamim Iqbal and Naeem Islam saw Bangladesh home, but on Sunday some fine late scoring helped push the Bangladesh total closer to 300.

From 21-2 Bangladesh staged a recovery which owed everything to Anamul and Mushfiqur Rahim (79) who got them up to 195-3.

Mominul Haque came to the crease and together with namesake Anamul put on 64 for the fifth wicket, and after Mominul became Ravi Rampaul's fourth wicket Anamul became his fifth when his brilliant innings ended on 120 off 145 balls.

Mashrafe Mortaza survived the hat-trick ball by taking four off Rampaul and also claimed sixes off successive Marlon Samuels balls in the final over.

West Indies did not start their reply well and lost Simmons for nine with the total on 11 when he scooped a Gazi delivery high to Tamim at mid-off.

Chris Gayle hit a six and two fours as he struggled to 15 off 22 balls before he was caught behind by Mushfiqur off Mortaza with the total on 32.

Samuels fell to Gazi, again caught by Mushfiqur, for 16 and when Dwayne Smith went to Razzak for a duck West Indies were in trouble at 65-4 off 15 overs.

The Windies quickly folded from there to 132 all out and suffer embarrassing successive defeats, with this time a whopping 160 runs the deficit.
