Bangladesh vs New Zealand

Twenty20 international: New Zealand end difficult tour on a high

Colin Munro: New Zealand batsman took the aerial route during his 73 not out

New Zealand finished their tour of Bangladesh with a 15-run Twenty20 international win in Dhaka.

Half-centuries from Anton Devcich and Colin Munro led New Zealand to 204-5 after they had chosen to bat first.

Opening batsman Devcich, making his T20 international debut, hit 10 fours and a six in his 31-ball 59, while Munro launched five sixes - including a switch hit off Mahmudullah - in his unbeaten 73 from 39 deliveries.

Bangladesh slumped to 19-3 in the second over of their reply before skipper Mushfiqur Rahim's 50 off 29 balls revived their hopes.

Naeem Islam (18), Nasir Hossain (28), Mahmudullah (34) and Sohag Gazi (24) all contributed but wickets kept falling and Bangladesh ended short on 189-9.

New Zealand seam bowler Tim Southee struck twice in the first over of the innings and went on to claim figures of 3-38.

The victory was New Zealand's first of the tour after drawing the Test series 0-0 and going down 3-0 in the ODIs.
