Australia vs W Indies

Windies sweat on Chanderpaul

Key batsman rated 50-50 for WACA showdown

Chanderpaul: Injury doubt

West Indies are sweating on the fitness of Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Adrian Barath ahead of the third and final Test against Australia at the WACA.

LIVE ON SKY SPORTS Watch Australia v West Indies live on Sky Sports 1 from 2.30am on Wednesday.

Left-handed stalwart Chanderpaul has been rated 50-50 for the Perth showdown after suffering a finger injury whilst fielding during the drawn second Test in Adelaide.

Opening batsman Barath, who became the seventh youngest batsman in Test history to score a century on debut in the first Test of the series, is struggling with a hamstring strain and a decision on both players will be made on the morning of the game.

Batsmen Travis Dowlin and Narsingh Deonarine are on stand-by for the tourists.

McKay debut

Australia currently lead the three-Test series 1-0 heading to Perth, however the hosts have won just one of their previous four Tests at the WACA and Chris Gayle's men will be vying to become the first West Indies side to win a Test in Australia since 1996-97.

Home captain Ricky Ponting has been forced to draft in extra bowling cover ahead of the final Test after paceman Peter Siddle was ruled out with a hamstring strain.

Siddle's absence paves the way for Victorian team-mate Clint McKay, who is expected to make his debut on Wednesday.

Tasmania's uncapped Brett Geeves has also been added to the squad, however the 27-year-old will more than likely have to settle for a watching brief.

Doubts surrounding the fitness of off-spinner Nathan Hauritz (finger) have also emerged, however he is expected to retain his place as the home side's specialist spinner.

Australia: (probable) 1 Shane Watson, 2 Simon Katich, 3 Ricky Ponting (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 Michael Clarke, 6 Marcus North, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Nathan Hauritz, 10 Clint McKay, 11 Doug Bollinger.

West Indies: (probable) 1 Chris Gayle (capt), 2 Travis Dowlin, 3 Ramnaresh Sarwan, 4 Narsingh Deonarine, 5 Dwayne Bravo, 6 Brendan Nash, 7 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 8 Darren Sammy, 9 Sulieman Benn, 10 Ravi Rampaul, 11 Kemar Roach.
