Chicago Blackhawks celebrate after claiming crucial 4-3 win over LA Kings
The Chicago Blackhawks claimed a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings to take their Western Conference finals series into a seventh and deciding game.
Patrick Kane was the hero for the Blackhawks as he scored twice - including the winner with a little under four minutes remaining - to give his side a crucial road victory at Staples Center in California.
The Kings had twice gone ahead in the contest, when Dwight King gave them a first period lead and then when Drew Doughty and Alec Martinez had netted after Kane and Ben Smith had both struck in the second to give Chicago a 2-1 lead.
But Duncan Keith drew the Blackhawks level at 3-3 midway through the third, before Kane popped up with fierce long-range strike to snatch a dramatic win for the visitors.
The teams now head back to Chicago on Sunday for a winner-takes-all match at the United Center in Illinois.
