Peter Budaj made 34 saves to help the Montreal Canadiens halt free-scoring Boston with a 4-1 win, their fifth straight over the Bruins.
Alexei Emelin, Max Pacioretty, Brian Gionta and Daniel Briere got the goals for Montreal as Boston, who had scored six in each of their last three games, got a taste of their own medicine.
Dougie Hamilton scored for the Bruins, whose winning streak was snapped at four.
Nazem Kadri provided three assists to help the Toronto Maple Leafs rally from two down to beat the Florida Panthers 6-3.
Cody Franson, Mason Raymond, James van Riemsdyk, Nikolai Kulemin, Joffrey Lupul and Tyler Bozak got the goals for Toronto.
