The Anaheim Ducks extended their winning streak to 10 games on Sunday with a 3-2 NHL victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Saku Koivu, who opened the scoring in the first period and had an assist in Andrew Cogliano's goal at 05:04 in the third, grabbed the winner 51 seconds into overtime after Martin Hanzal and Keith Yandle had scored in the final five minutes of regulation to get the visitors back to 2-2.

Thomas Greiss made 38 saves for Phoenix but could not prevent his side slipping to a sixth loss in seven games.

Goals in the first 80 seconds of the third period, from Brendan Smith and Gustav Nyquist, snapped a 2-2 tie at BB&T Center and the Detroit Red Wings held on for a 4-3 win against the Florida Panthers.

Saturday's NHL results:

Panthers 3 Red Wings 4
