Patrick Kane scored a hat-trick including a dramatic double-overtime winner to send the Chicago Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup Finals with a 4-3 victory over the defending-champion Los Angeles Kings.

Duncan Keith and Kane put the Blackhawks two goals up in the first, before scores from Dwight King and Anze Kopitar in the second and third periods levelled things up.

Kane's second seemed like being enough for Chicago, before a shot from Mike Richards with 10 seconds left of regulation deflected past Corey Crawford and sent the game into OT.

It was left for Kane, with his sixth goal of the play-offs, to finish things off in the second extra period, sending the Presidents' Trophy winners through to a match-up with the Boston Bruins.

Game one is scheduled for Wednesday night in Chicago.
