Sheffield Steelers posted their third win in succession as they saw off Cardiff Devils 4-3 in the Elite League.

The Steelers are now four points behind Belfast, but with two games remaining they cannot overhaul the Giants in the race to finish as runners-up to newly-crowned champions Nottingham Panthers by dint of having managed fewer wins in regulation.

Dundee Stars ran out convincing 5-0 winners in a bottom-of-the-table clash with Hull Stingrays, who have now lost three straight.

The Fife Flyers defeated Edinburgh Capitals 4-2 in their Scottish derby that was the other game of Sunday night.
