Nottingham Panthers moved four points clear at the top of the Elite League table after claiming a 4-2 victory over Sheffield Steelers.

A sell-out crowd at the Nottingham Ice Centre saw the Panthersw come from a goal down tro hand Sheffield their first loss in seven games.

Both goaltenders were on form in a scoreless first period, but Danny Meyers gave the Steelers the lead with 45 seconds gone in the second period.

Bruce Graham got the Panthers back on level terms as Bruce Graham found the net before Pat Galivan, Jordan Fox and Brandon Benedict all found the net in the finaln perid. Steve Goeretzen scored a consolation for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Coventry Blaze beat Braehead Clan 5-4 after overtime, with James Griffin the hero.
